Fall Essentials

Cozy sweaters.

Hot drinks.

These are a few of my favorite things…

Fall is the perfect time to slow down and enjoy the beautiful colors and chilly air.  Curl up with a good book and a warm blanket, and enjoy some of my favorite fall essentials:

Nothing says fall like a big, cozy scarf.  My favorite scarves are hand-knit with love by ozetta.  Besides, I really enjoy wearing blankets as clothing.

no. 2

I might be a blanket hoarder.  Maybe.  Is there such a thing as too many blankets?  I don’t think so.  These plaid ones are perfect for fall, and just because you have one plaid blanket doesn’t mean you shouldn’t have TWO plaid blankets.

Pumpkin Spice Latte.  I feel like I might be breaking “the rules” (I don’t know who makes them, but I’m pretty sure they’re real) when I say this, but you guys – I don’t like Pumpkin Spice Lattes.  I’m going to give you a minute to decide if we can still be friends.  I know that they are a cozy cup of fall, but I’m much more of a hot chocolate kind of girl.

no. 4

I’m not going to limit this to pumpkin pie.  I’m just going to go with ‘any baked good with pumpkin’… mmmm.  Pumpkin pie, pumpkin cookies, pumpkin scones, pumpkin donuts, pumpkin cupcakes, pumpkin brownies, pumpkin cheesecake… and that’s about it.  (Did you catch my Forrest Gump reference?!)

no. 5

Autumn is full of amazing scents: cinnamon, apple, pumpkin, and the crisp air.  Warm up your home with a fall scented candle or simmer some cinnamon and apples on the stove.  Inhale.  Relax. Exhale.  Ahhh.

no. 6

Hunter wellies (or rain boots) are great for cold, windy, rainy days… and for all of the time because you’re too lazy to tie real shoes and they’re perfect with leggings (just sayin’).

So, there you have it… some of my favorite fall essentials.

What’s on your list?
